Bola

Bola comes from Extremadura in Spain and is one of the varieties that are processed into the dark red paprika powder “Pimentón de la Vera”. The small plants of this Capsicum annuum are extremely productive. They develop ball-shaped (bola = Spanish: ball), ribbed pods without any heat. Their pods have a very firm skin, making them particularly suitable for drying and powder production.
