CAP 1546

CAP 1546 is a very beautiful accession from the collection of the Leibniz Institute for Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK). This Capsicum annuum was incorrectly identified as Capsicum eximium and at times even made it onto the pages of Wikipedia as an example of Capsicum eximium. It is an ornamental chili that develops plants with dark leaves. They provide high yields of medium-hot pods that ripen from ivory over orange and red to dark purple. A real eye-catcher in the garden!
