Congo Black is a Habanero (Scotch Bonnet) from Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean and is also known as Chocolate Habanero. The very productive, medium-sized plants of this Capsicum chinense produce very hot pods with a slightly smokey, earthy note. They are traditionally used in salsas and also desserts.
