They produce very thin, dark red pods with medium heat of the Cayenne type. They’re especially suitable for making ristras. The ripe pods also serve as the basis for Salsa de Arbol, which is very well known in Mexico. In the US they’re a popular topping for spicy burgers. A real Mexican all-rounder!
