Jalapeño

Jalapeño is the absolute classic among chilies with a low level of heat. Initially cultivated in southern Mexico, this Capsicum annuum is now widespread worldwide. Their pods with the characteristic small cracks can be processed both when green (unripe) and when red (fully ripe).
