Naso di Cane

Naso di Cane (= Italian: dog’s nose) is the name of this upright Capsicum annuum with Italian roots. It’s shape is supposed to replicate the nose of a dog. Their very productive plants are easy to cultivate, not just in Calabria. They produce a large number of medium-hot pods with a firm, crunchy flesh. Pods ripen from green to a dark red and develop a fruity and fresh flavor. Therefore, they can be further processed in many ways.
