Negro de Santiago
€ 2,80
Price excl. shipping costsNegro de Santiago is an old Spanish heirloom that almost disappeared some time ago. Thanks to a funding program from the CIAM (Centro de Investigaciones Agrarias de Mabegondo), it was cultivated again and has been generally available since 2012. Luckily, it’s on the market again, because it’s a fantastic variety. Their medium to very large, red-brown tomatoes develop a very juicy and intense tomato aroma. Their shape is somewhat irregular, but their taste is even more stable. Due to its juiciness and traditional flavor, it can be processed very well in all kinds of tomato sauces.
