They’re thick-walled, fruity and aromatic and have a fiery heat that is said to be around 20,000 SHU. If you remove the inner tissue of the pods (placenta) together with the seeds, the heat can be reduced significantly. Pumpkin refers to the color of the pods, which ripen to a beautiful, pumpkin-like shade of orange. A fantastic product that Semillas’ customers love to grow.
