Pimenta da Neyde

Pimenta da Neyde (= Portuguese: Neyde’s chili) is a beautiful rarity from Brazil that was discovered by Neyde Hidalgo. Both the flower color and the black coloring of the plant are an exception in the Capcicum chinense genus. The coloring of their pods is just as spectacular, as they remain purple even when ripe. The strong-growing Pimenta da Neyde plants should be pruned early to get a more compact growth.
