Pimienta de la Puta Madre

Pimenta de la Puta Madre (=Spanish: son of a bitch) is a super hot Capsicum annuum that is cultivated in the Canary Islands. There it’s also known as “picona” (= Spanish: the one that burns). It’s often processed into the famous salsa “Mojo Verde” (with unripe, green pods) or “Mojo Rojo” (with fully ripe, red pods). Their relatively large pods grow upright.
