Serrano del Sol

Serrano del Sol is a descendant of the classic Serrano. The plants of this very beautiful Capsicum annuum develop hairy leaves and provide early and impressively good yields. Serrano (=Spanish: mountains) literally refers to the mountain ranges of the Mexican regions around Puebla and Hidalgo. There, the variety is particularly popular as ingredient in salsas. Serrano del Sol produces crisp, slightly hot pods that develop a fresh and sweet flavor when fully ripe.
