Because this ornamental chili of the Capsicum annuum type actually has little in common with a Tabasco (Capsicum frutescens). Its small, highly branched plants produce high yields of medium-hot and small pods. They can be dried particularly well and then used for typical Asian dishes. Due to their growth, the Short Yellow Tabasco plants are very suitable for cultivation in the bonsai styleon the windowsill.
