Peperone Tondo Calabrese

Peperone Tondo Calabrese is a famous Italian Capsicum annuum. Their very productive plants produce high yields of bright red, pointed, conical pods (tondo = Italian: circle) with a pleasant heat. If you remove the placental tissue and seeds completely, the heat almost disappears. In Italian cuisine, this variety is often stuffed with tuna, anchovies or capers.
