Piment Végétarien

Piment Végétarien is a fantastic chili from the French Antilles islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique, which is also common on other islands. Its pods are approximately 3-4in long. They’re relatively thick-walled, develop an excellent flavor and a low heat. In the local cuisine of the French Antilles they’re used for various salsas and stuffings, but also processed into a dark red powder. The plants of this Capsicum chinense are quite easy to grow and very productive. A great product that shouldn’t be missing in any pepper garden.
